The Hampton Bay Universal 3-speed ceiling fan remote control adds convenient functionality to your ceiling fan. This replacement ceiling fan remote control kit works for most 110V 3-speed AC ceiling fans, compatible with Hampton Bay, Hunter, Harbor Breeze, Home Decorators Collection, Honeywell, Prominence Home, Minka-Aire, and many more.

The universal ceiling fan remote control kit includes a light dimmer and 3-speed control. It features a walk-away time delay feature that allows you to turn the light off but still have light as you leave the room. Please note that this remote is not recommended for use with a hugger-style ceiling fan.

This remote controller is designed for a 3-speed ceiling fan to separately control your ceiling fan speed and light brightness. Please note that this remote does not have a Reverse button. The light on/off button just controls the brightness of halogen and incandescent lamps. LED/CFL lights are not dimmable, and the remote only controls the on/off function in that case.

The RC-72T&RC-72R universal ceiling fan remote control kit works with most 110V 3-speed AC ceiling fans, compatible with Harbor Breeze, Hampton Bay, Hunter, Home Decorators Collection, Honeywell, Litex, and other major ceiling fans. It is suitable for most downrod-style fans, but not recommended for use with hugger-style fans. The remote is compatible with all incandescent light bulbs and some dimmable LED lamps. Most LED lights and all CFL lights are not dimmable, and the light dimmer only supports the on/off function in that case, which may cause flickering when using the dimming function.

To set up the remote control, follow these steps: 1. Set the DIP number "1234" on the transmitter and receiver to the same position. 2. The separate dial "0/D" is used as a dimming option. If the bulb supports dimming, select "D"; otherwise, select "0". 3. The default setting is 0000, and it is not recommended.

If you have a pull-chain switch, use it to turn the wind speed to maximum and turn the fan light on before using the wireless remote control. If you have multiple ceiling fans in your home, ensure that the PIN code settings are different between them to avoid unwanted activation.

To install the remote control, first remove power from the circuit, then remove the ceiling fan canopy from the mounting bracket and disconnect the existing wiring. Set the same codes on the remote control and receiver, as the code used by the transmitter and receiver must be exactly the same.

The receiver wires are labeled, and the wires all have the correct color codes. Make connections as follows, using the wire nuts supplied. Finally, install a 12V battery (not included) in the remote, and you can now control your fan.
